Moditional Style Renovation STATE AND REGIONAL AWARD WINNING 2010 REMODEL OF THE YEAR This extensive project focused primarily on the kitchen remodel, wet bar, two fireplaces and four bathroom designs. Great Room Fireplace Before Great Room Fireplace After Client wanted a grand fireplace with a large firebox opening.  The results are an impressive Cantera Stone fireplace with a massive opening yet in scale with the room.  Hand crafted chisel mantle, Corinthian capitals, ornate curves and spiral columns add the details.  Progression of steps leads the eye to a custom finish of Japanese Bark on the hood area.  The vertical texture in the treatment provides the height needed for such a large firebox opening and compliments Cantera Stone without competing with the lower area’s focal point.  The fireplace is flanked by the stunning custom window treatments of rich leather and natural linen embellished with nailheads, trims, and tassels. With a push of a remote button the fireplace is aglow and the shades close….ahhh life is grand! Wet Bar Before Wet Bar After The design plan repeated the kitchen’s cherry cabinets and golden moon granite to unite the kitchen and wet bar areas.  Paprika glass tile with gold and copper metallic accents create a dramatic backsplash. The storage was increased by extending the upper cabinets to the ceiling.  Japanese Tree Bark finish above the soffits and below the countertops adds texture and a natural habitat for the bird sculptures. The wet bar embraces sophistication, comfort and a place to relax and enjoy libations. Kitchen Before Kitchen Remodel After Relocating the refrigerator to the adjacent wall created room for a larger island and a functional work triangle.  Black island finish is repeated on kitchen perimeter through midnight plumbing fixtures, backsplash decos and iron bar stools.  The cherry-black glazed cabinets add the warmth to the room, stainless steel appliances add the shine, all are balanced with the earthen golden moon granite. Powder Room Before Powder Room Vanity Before Powder Room After Client wanted a WOW room with a very unique toilet.  Gold Rain Drop Glass Tile creates backdrop for freely suspended mirror, cascades across the countertop and down façade of custom vanity.  The curved front vanity defines round art glass vessel sink and water fall faucet.  Custom gold leaf finish toilet provides a golden throne fit for a king. Jack & Jill Bath Before Jack & Jill Bath After Client wanted room reconfigured to an open floor plan that fits the needs of two children and pool guests. The interior space planning consisted of deleting the tub, constructing a glass enclosed shower and relocating the water closet closer to pool side. Gallo Paillanti travertine is repeated in different patterns and sizes throughout the room. The children open the door to tropical paradise. Coconut shell accents in the tile, monkeys in fabric valance, ape art and waterfall faucet contribute to island feel. The steam from the shower adds the special effects. Guest Bath Before Guest Bath After Free standing furniture vanity with suspended onyx countertop is decked with a Copper vessel sink with pillar faucet. The backlighting of the Capri Peach onyx on tub riser adds drama.  Honey onyx appears in pendant lighting, floor accents, shower dome liners, vanity top and polished chiseled combination around mirror.  Duo Cristal porcelain combines color palettes of both Capri and Honey onyx, band flows through each task area in horizontal and vertical applications.  A tile framed mirror was created along the entire vanity/toilet wall.  The guest bath exudes a unique sense of timelessness with exquisite attention to detail. Master Bedroom Fireplace Before Master Bedroom Fireplace After The master bedroom fireplace is a unique original design that incorporates curves, glass, onyx, fire and ice and liquid glass.  It was transformed from a staid, formal design composed of straight lines and white plaster into a sleek contemporary-traditional, grand piece of art.  Magnificence and splendor awaits the homeowner when they enter their private domain. Master Bathroom Before Master Shower Before Master Shower After Master Bathroom After Pillars of Design established task areas – snail shower, raised tub platform, water closet and furniture like vanity area. 17 types of tile and stone designs create color and contrast incorporating marble, travertine, glass, metallic, petrified stone, sea animal decos and crackle glass.  A custom metallic copper tub repeats the water closet paint color.  Custom canvas curvaceous art with Swarovski crystals bestows the luxurious focal point in the niches.   The spa like resort will claim your breath and leave you in awe of the magnificence and splendor that begins to unfold before you. Master Closet Before Master Closet After Our interior designer took inventory of all items and incorporated sufficient double-hanging, shoe shelves, dual hampers, pullouts, luggage storage and linen closet so everything had its place.  A custom closet island of multi-level design, 42” high radius cherry island integrated with a 36” high rectangle peninsula housing locked jewelry drawers; custom divided to fit clients jewelry.  Vigilant application combined with zealous attention to detail resulted in a multi functional organized closet.  The gold-copper olivine crystal cabinet hardware adds the glam.
